Lee Kind is a 2019 graduate of Regent University’s Doctor of Strategic Leadership program, a 2006 graduate of George Mason’s Executive MBA program, and a 1996 graduate of Augusta State University (ASU) in Augusta, GA where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. He earned Distinguished Military Graduate honors and a Regular Army Commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Transportation Corps upon graduation from ASU.
Upon graduation from the Transportation Officer Basic Course as the Distinguished Graduate, then 2LT Kind was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division for the next five years where he held the positions of: Platoon Leader, D/782d MSB (17 months) S2/3 Operations Officer, 782d MSB (21 months) Division Materiel Management Officer, DMMC (12 months), and Division Transportation Operations Officer (11 months). He then attended the Combined Logistics Officer Advanced Course. CPT Kind’s next assignment was the 25th Transportation Battalion’s Commander for 584th Division Support Team (DST) for 2nd Infantry Division located at Camp Red Cloud, South Korea (12 months). Upon return from Korea, CPT Kind then served as the 82nd Airborne Division Support Command Personnel Officer (12 months) at Ft Bragg and in Iraq.
Lee Kind’s military education includes: Transportation Officer Basic Course, Combined Logistics Officer Advanced Course, Combined Armed Schools Qualification (CASQ), Automated Air Load Planning Course (ALPS), Battalion Maintenance Officer Course, Airborne, Air Assault, and Jumpmaster schools.
Lee Kind’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal w/ bronze star, Army Service Ribbon, Combat Action Badge, Air Assault Badge, German Armed Forces Efficiency Badge in Gold, Venezuelan Parachutist Badge, Royal Thai Air Force Parachutist Badge, and the Master Parachutist Badge.
Upon leaving the Army in 2004 for family needs, Lee worked his way up from Program Analyst to Division Director at SeiCorp, Inc. From there, he served on the lead Lessons Learned team for the Army Materiel Command and became the Future Operations Manager in the Strategic Planning and Analysis Group at Fluor before resigning his position and taking over duties as Trustee for a million-dollar estate, consulting to the federal government and small businesses, conducting real estate, and writing his newest books among other things. From 2014-2019, Lee served as the Logistics Senior Project Manager for the Global Information Technology Modernization program for Department of State. Since 2019, Lee has focused on his consulting business Wisdom2liveby helping individuals as well as large organizations like the World Bank.
Lee is Project Management certified (PMP) and also holds Six Sigma certifications of Green Belt and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
